  20. At some point in MS-DOS's history, there was something called
  21. the SWITCHAR, an environment variable that let you control
  22. whether forward or backward slash was the path separator.
  23.  
  24. I just tested this under WinNT and LW/Win.  Both forward and
  25. backward slash work in LoadObject lines in scene files.
  26. Perhaps LW itself is performing a swap.
